Little Piece of Love for Lovely School Memories Верзија за печатење
28.07.2007
Esteemed Ladies and Gentlemen, Esteemed Citizens;

Surely, you are all aware that a success you have achieved and your carriers in a large part are a result of an educational schooling system. Your job positions and your status in the society, your titles, your business success, and your other achievements, have their roots in the first days of your schooling, in your school desks, at the spots where besides obtaining your first lore, you also spent the most beautiful moments, the happiest moments, moments full of bliss and joy. Surely, these moments have not been obliterated from your memories; time can not wipe out moments spent with your classmates and other pupils from your school.

A School which you attended at your first classes, in which you obtained your erudition riches, surely has done a lot for you. Frequently you have asked a question if there is anything you could do for your School, if there is a gift you could give to it? In the past you have considered it being a Temple.

The School is nowadays attended by different children, maybe even your children, and it still remains being a temple of knowledge and as such it should be treated. Let us all take care of our schools in the same way worshippers take care of their religious temples.

An eminent United States Diplomat, Mr. Henry Kissinger, while his official visits to Europe, firstly visited a school he attended as a child. Kissing the doorstep of the School and the desk in which he sat, he said: “this School and this desk made me a person I am today” and so it happened that with his assistance the School became one of nowadays most modern schools in Austria

“I am but a drop of water in an Ocean, but without this drop of water the Ocean would have been poorer” said Mother Theresa in one occasion. Therefore, let your contribution for the School of your youth be a drop in an Ocean, that would make it richer than it is at the moment. Donate to it, depending on your freewill and your capabilities: pencils, notebooks, textbooks, school prescribed novels, desks, tables, computers, camera, DVD, projector, tape-recorder, television, graphoscope, educational CDs, painting, sculpture, or simply plant a tree or greenery in its court… By making your modest contribution you donate a piece of love as a reward for lovely memories you carry from school days.

Yours Sincerely,

Sulejman Rushiti

Minister of Education and Science
